According to an AARP housing survey 83% of older Americans want to stay in their current homes for the rest of their lives. They find their homes comfortable, convenient, secure and they feel independent there but what happens if they find that they can no longer stay in that home? What other types of housing is available? What are the advantages of an assisted living or a continuing care retirement community over a regular apartment? This seminar will provide attendees with some resources needed to determine what housing type might be best for them or their loved one.

This seminar is designed for senior citizens, caregivers and any others who are interested.

The housing options workshop is being sponsored by Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging (WIAAA) and will be presented by Jan Stille, WIAAA and Frankie Atwater, City of Moline.
