Adopt-An-Author

You can "adopt" one or more of your favorite authors. To adopt, you agree to sponsor the purchase of one copy of each fiction title by that author at the library's cost. By adopting an author, you get the privilege of being the first to check out your adopted book and each adopted book will have a bookplate with your name. If you are interested in adopting an author from our Bestsellers Club list, please inquire at the Circulation Desk, or call 762-6883 with any questions.

Bestsellers Club

The Bestsellers Club allows you to automatically be placed on a reserve list for some of our most popular authors. The Bestsellers Club is available only for new, hardcover fiction books. As your reading tastes change, your selected authors may be changed at any time. As member of our Bestsellers Club, you no longer need to stop in or call the library when your favorite author releases a new book. Please stop at the Circulation Desk to take advantage of this club or call 762-6883. In order to participate, you must have a valid library card from a fully-participating Prairie Area System Library. You can enroll online by clicking here.

Rental Books

The library now has a rental collection of bestsellers to augment the regular collection. Rental books are available only on a first-come, first-served basis - they may not be reserved. They have a shorter, 14-day checkout period and rent for $1.00 per check out period. Materials may be renewed for an additional dollar. This short checkout period keeps these books circulating quickly so that others may enjoy them. We will continue to purchase our usual number of free copies, which may be placed on reserve.
